CORROSION PROTECTION

Type of product
One-component, water borne, one-coat paint, of the type High Build.

Characteristics
CorroCryl is water borne and designed to give an excellent corrosion protection and adhesion together with GrafoTherm. The drying time is short also when applied in layers of more than 100 µm.

Area of use
Corrosion protection of steel, aluminium and hot-dip galvanized surfaces. Designed for tough conditions such as sea containers, food and beverage industries and acid and alkaline environments.

Surface preparation
All surfaces:
Remove grease, oil and soot.
Steel surfaces:
The surface shall be blasted to Sa 2½ or treated to the same preparation grade by grinding.
Zink surface:
Outdoor exposed surface shall be washed. Freshly galvanized surface shall be pickled with citricbased oxide remover or slightly blasted. Corroded surfaces shall be blasted or grinded.
Aluminium surface:
The surface shall be slightly roughened by mechanical means.

Application
High-pressure spraying or brush application. At high-pressure spraying the layer thickness may be build up "wet on wet" to very thick layers.
CorryCryl is delivered ready to use, but be can diluted with water, preferably mixed with a few drops of liquid ammonia.

Top coating repairing
CorroCryl is a one-coat paint, however it can be applied in several layers. CorroCryl is an excellent primer for most top coatings, especially for GrafoTherm.
